Beauty from Inside Out
It has been scientifically proven that colourless carotenoids can effectively reduce the melanin that is already present in the cells, including those in dark acne scars, freckles, dark underarms and age spots. It is targeted to control pigmentation by inhibiting melanin synthesis in order to brighten, lighten and whiten the complexion. Unlike orange or red carotenoids which change the skin colour to a tan or orange shade when consumed in large amounts, CLC do not contain any visible colour that will tint the skin.
Act as Anti-Oxidants to Protect Against Free Radical Damage
CLC has the ability to absorb light within the UVA/B range and subsequently block free radicals from the UV rays. Hence, they act as anti-oxidants to protect against free radical damage by environmental aggressors. As such, prolong cell DNA longevity and preventing damage caused by free radicals that lead to premature ageing.
High Bioavailability & Better Stability
Many dietary carotenoids are found in most human tissues, including in the serum, plasma and skin. Yet the distribution of carotenoids throughout the body is not uniform; when compared to other carotenoids, the CLC have the highest accumulation factor in the skin, lungs, plasma, and lymphocytes. This high distribution factor is an indication of the better stability of Phytoene and Phytofluence in the skin. It further supports their advantageous ability to prevent and protect against in vivo oxidative damage.
Prevent DNA Damage
Clinical tests have proven an increased protection of DNA and skins against oxidation and UV damage with an increased consumption of CLC.
Promote Even Skin Tone & Radiant Complexion
CLC helps to fade dark spots by reducing melanin present in the cells and inhibit melanin synthesis, allowing new and lighter skin to show through underneath, thus giving you a more even skin tone and radiant skin complexion.
Protect & Enhance the Efficiency of Other Active Ingredients
To increase the efficacy of CLC, an amino acid L-Cysteine is included in TOM. Existing naturally in proteins of most living organisms, it is one of the few amino acids containing sulphur. The sulphur allows L-Cysteine to bond in a special way to maintain the structure of proteins in the body and this helps in the formation of collagen, promoting healthy skin. Acerola Cherry, its high vitamin C content helps form collagen, the building block of healthy skin that keeps it toned and youthful in appearance. It can also help to suppress the synthesis of melanin, which greatly enhances the efficacy of CLC.
